The BSc in MLS degree program, offered by the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, is designed to provide a broad and well-rounded education allowing MLTs opportunities for advanced study in laboratory medicine disciplines as well as research. This can aid in career advancement or provide the foundation for further study.

In order to be eligible for admission to the post-professional certificate degree completion program applicants must have: successfully completed the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) General Certificate, and within the last five years have either completed CSMLS general certification or have related work experience.
Applicants are also required to have: Official transcripts from technical institutes and clinical training sites, CSMLS certification, and other postsecondary institutions are also required; and a letter indicating history of employment as a medical technologist with particular attention paid to the description of the type of work in which the applicant was involved. In this letter a statement of career goals and reasons for seeking admission to the BSc program in Medical Laboratory Science should be included. |
